| Makers statement Alexandra works in 18 carat gold and silver. Colour is incorporated through the use of precious and semi precious stones and glass (miniature cast and carved glass and enamelling). Specialist areas - Designing, carving, piercing, glass This jewellery is ideal for gifts. Many people buy for friends and relatives but for oneself they are a luxurious treat one should not go without. The Flower collection especially suits wedding/ bridal outfits perfectly as this range of jewellery is particularly feminine and delicate. Jewellery Price guide fiom £32 to £5,000 Alexandra specialised in glass for her degree in Art at Surrey University. After graduating she continued to work in this medium developing new techniques and applying them on a relatively large scale. An interest in Feng Shui and the multi sensory nature of objects led her to create beautiful, colourful, glass indoor and outdoor fountains which she exhibited and sold widely. Alexandra started jewellery making in 1999. She trained at St Martins College of Art and Design, Sir John Cass at London Metropolitan University and Westminster Adult College. She now works as an independent jeweller in London, designing, creating and making original, contemporary quality pieces of jewellery which are being sold internationally. Alexandra is particularly inspired by nature in its realistic and figurative forms, it is fascinating and forms the basis of many of her designs. Romance and fantasy are present themes, perhaps influenced by her teaching. The art nouveau style has influenced her, from architecture, to posters such as Alphonse Mucha and jewellers such as Henri Lalique. |
